Who We Are

We moved to Manistee County in 1993.  We are now retired and are enjoying our retirement by sharing our woods & pond with folks who love the outdoors.  We are on 17 acres of wooded rolling land, bordered on two sides by the Manistee National Forest and on the other two sides by cabins that are on 10 & 20 acre parcels.  While it may sound like we are remote, only the last mile is dirt road, and well-maintained.  We rent from Memorial Day weekend to Thanksgiving.

Our History

In 1998, we bought two cabins on the edge of our property in the woods 15 miles from Manistee & Lake Michigan,  with the idea of renting them out to hunters, fishermen, hikers, mountain bikers and other folks who wanted a quiet, secluded place to kick back and relax for a week or weekend.   This plan worked out quite well.  Over the years, we have forged some great  friendships with our guests, some that have lasted for many years.  Can we add you to the list?
